Terms of Service

Circle ("we," "our," or "us") provides a mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service") designed to help small, trusted groups of households coordinate everyday help and support.

By using Circle, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

Circle is designed for:

• Small groups of 3–5 households who already know and trust each other
• Coordinating low-stakes, everyday help: grocery runs, package pickups, sharing extra food
• Making it easier to ask for and offer help among trusted neighbors and friends

Circle is not a marketplace, gig economy platform, or social network for strangers.

To use Circle, you need to:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Provide accurate information when creating your account
• Keep your login credentials secure
• Be responsible for all activity under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in harmful behavior.

Circles are invite-only groups. By joining a Circle, you agree to:

• Treat other members with respect and good faith
• Only join Circles with people you actually know and trust
• Not use Circle to spam, harass, or harm others
• Respect boundaries when others decline requests

You agree not to:

• Use Circle for commercial purposes or to hire gig workers
• Share content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, or harassing
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Use Circle to stalk, surveil, or monitor others without consent
• Circumvent any security features of the Service
• Use automated systems to access the Service

You retain ownership of content you share on Circle (messages, images, etc.). By sharing content, you grant us a limited license to store and display it within the Service to other members of your Circle(s).

You are responsible for the content you share. Don't share anything you don't have the right to share.

Circle is built for trusted groups, but we cannot guarantee the behavior of other users. You are responsible for:

• Only joining Circles with people you genuinely trust
• Using your own judgment about interactions and arrangements
• Reporting any concerning behavior to us

Important: Circle does not perform background checks on users. We do not verify identities or vet users in any way. Trust is established between you and your Circle members, not by us.

Circle is designed for adults to coordinate household help. The Service is not intended for use by anyone under 18. Do not share sensitive information about children (routines, locations, schedules) beyond what is necessary for coordination within your trusted Circle.

We commit to:

• No ads: We will never show you advertisements
• No data selling: We will never sell your personal data to third parties
• Data minimization: We only collect what's necessary to provide the Service
• Your data is yours: You can delete your account and data at any time

We strive to keep Circle available and reliable, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time, with reasonable notice when possible.

Circle is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service
• We are not responsible for the actions of other users
• We are not liable for any arrangements made between Circle members
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the past 12 months

You agree to indemnify and hold Circle harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these terms.

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of Circle after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

You can stop using Circle and delete your account at any time. We may also terminate your access if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
